I have a varied background! I worked in the corporate world, retiring from AT&T with over 30 years; served as a minister, retiring with over 15 years; and am now honored to be working with people as a life coach.
I had a long career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, later known as AT&T, and I spent most of my years in Information Technology. I was in software application development, then technical training. I enjoyed my time and work there, and I was later able to continue using many of the skills I learned .
Realizing that I wanted something different after retirement, I first started on a course of becoming a licensed counselor. I completed the graduate counseling degree, but came to realize that I really wanted to become a minister. I entered seminary and became an ordained Unity minister in 2002. I served several churches in the next 15+ years before my retirement. I loved helping people see themselves as unique, powerful and innately good, and the work was immensely rewarding and fulfilling.
For me, coaching is a next step. Watching people recognize their capabilities and use them to express their individual strengths, talents and skills is a joy. A graduate of the Academy of Coaching Excellence, I have learned that each of us has a hero’s heart, and connecting with it can produce amazing results. Supporting people as they bring a goal or dream into reality, while helping them see and remove obstacles is the heart of my work and my business.
